Day 3 路 Let's pray for contentment

Updated: Aug 16, 2021

馃憫It is sometimes easy to fall into the trap of thinking we need to achieve something or get something to be truly content with our lives. We may even allow others to dictate what success means. Today, why don鈥檛 we ask God to show us the way to true contentment?

馃Bible text of the day: Philippians 4:11-13; Matthew 6:33

馃摉Read the Bible text of the day,

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:11-13, NLT)
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33, NKJV)

and write down in your journal:

馃挕What is God telling you through this passage/verse?

馃敡How can you apply it in your life?

馃檹馃徏What is your prayer? (See prayer prompts below.)

馃憠馃徑During our prayer time, let鈥檚 focus our attention on asking God for contentment:

鉁匬ray that the Holy Spirit will help you be satisfied in God and that you would trust and delight in His promises.

鉁匔onfess anything or anyone in your heart that you love more than God. Ask Him to help you treasure Jesus above all.

鉁匬ray that you will be quick to remember God's faithfulness, grace, and provision when you feel tempted to grumble or be ungrateful.

馃巼At the end of our 30-day prayer journey, you will have access to win a beautiful Praying Scripture Journal by @thedailygraceco
